The literature from all languages has been highlighting these facts about the endless phenomenon. Practically nobody has ever escaped or will escape for this so far one is alive. We all know it and accept it, the only difference is how we make it meaningful for all of us. Are we caught in the volcano or vortex and do not have any resource to deal with these realities? The answer, where awareness prevails, is surely no; otherwise yes.
There is one story about Shri Ramkrishna Pramhans and his woodcutter disciple. The woodcutter was coming from forest with his days load. He saw an elephant running to his direction – totally uncontrolled , the mahut was shouting at him to run out of way. The woodcutter was obdient disciple of Pramahans found it difficult to run away with the load on his head. He told himself that the elephant and himself both share the same soul and being part of one he questioned himself how this elephant can do him any harm? He was badly injured by the elephant , missed the death by a fraction. Later on he went to see Pramhans and expressed his anguish about the rules of the soul and oneness. Smilingly Pramhans reminded him – yes you were right so far as elephant and himself sharing the same soul then Pramhans asked him – but why did you forget that the mahut also shared the same soul and was shouting to run away?
The message seems to be all us see the same reality but how and what our mind makes of it. As we can see later in this course that we do possess the same hardware – the biological gifts about memory, thinking and imagining; difference between people using these gifts differently is not an accident for somebody not using it to the potential, it is not luck for one who is using it extensively. In reality a factor which we do not understand the reasoning and convince to ourselves is labeled as the Luck.
